From the past 5 years, the French School of Warsaw participates in the commemorations of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising organized in April by the Museum of the History of Polish Jews POLIN. This year, and due to the pandemic situation in Poland, the educational community of the LFV had to reinvent its participation in the “Daffodils Action” (Akcja Żonkile) through two collaborative projects…
From April to May, teachers, students and parents commemorated the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of April 19, 1943 through two multilingual collaborative projects:
- an art project “Make or draw your own daffodil”
- an audio recording project “Voices of the Past” which gathers excerpts from poems and diaries by Władysław Szlengel and Mary Berg, two authors of the Warsaw Ghetto.
