Agnieszka Osiecka’s secret garden: a poetic and musical walk

On Friday 18th June, our 4e students, who are enrolled in the International Polish program, had the pleasure of meeting Agata Passent, daughter of Agnieszka Osiecka, a famous Polish poetess, author of the lyrics of more than two thousand songs, writer and director of theater plays and television…

The meeting, organized in the form of a poetic and musical walk in the district of Saska Kępa was prepared and led by the students themselves. Agnieszka Osiecka lived near the LFV and wrote a lot about her neighborhood.

This walk was therefore an opportunity for the students to learn more about the life and career of this famous Polish icon and to discuss Polish popular culture of the 1970s.

At the end of the meeting, our students laid flowers in front of the sculpture of Agnieszka Osiecka which is located on Francuska Street.

Many thanks to Agata Passent for this beautiful morning!
