This year, the 6th edition of the Nuits de la Lecture was organized around the theme of love (in connection with the poem “Aimons toujours ! Aimons encore !” written by Victor Hugo). For this new edition, the teachers and students of middle and high schools had prepared an extensive program…
Organized by the French Ministry of Culture, in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports, the Reading Nights aim at promoting to all the enjoyment of books and reading in France, as well as abroad. These events also consolidate the ties between the educational community and the literary world.
Because of the sanitary situation in Poland, the event initially scheduled for the end of January, had to be postponed to April 21st in order to welcome the students and their families on site.
Like every year, the educational team of the French School of Warsaw had organized, in collaboration with the pupils, various workshops and projects that combined literature and art in order to share together the pleasure of reading and the love of books.
Participants had the opportunity to participate in readings, test their knowledge with quizzes about French and Anglo-Saxon literature, express their love on a free expression board, vote for their favorite short story, or try their hand at creating origami!
This year, for the first time, the students also prepared two escape games, one on the theme of horror and the other inspired by the world of video games.
Thank you all for contributing to this event!
